Morgellons and Gnats

Okay, so I thought I wasn’t going to do another post this weekend, but something popped up. I was looking at the blog stats seeing what folks were searching on that lead them to this blog when (other than the usual fifty ways people search on “me” trying desperately to find me and harass me) I found a very interesting incoming link and I do mean very interesting.

On Lymebusters there’s been a lot of talk about Gnats being in our water, in fact, there have been people that have been able to hatch Gnats out of our normal tap water. However, they have also been able to hatch Gnats out of samples taken from Morgellons lesions. And don’t forget the “Baculovirus and Fungal Gnats – A New Theory” post.

Gnats or Fruit flies following me

Well, I followed a link and found something very shocking. On there is a post titled “Gnats or Fruit flies following me” which you can see HERE.  With all kinds of people talking about this happening to them, but not just following them, but hatching out of their bodies. Here are only a few quotes …

This may sound very unususal, and beleive me I wouldn’t even mention it, if it hadn’t become such an anomoly to me. For the past 3 months or so I have noticed that I have gnats flying around me at home. Just a couple, but they follow me from room to room, wherever I go. They also follow me to work, and I have them in my office too. Then when I go to another person’s office, they follow me in there too. So essentially it’s me they are after. There is no food or fruit anywhere, and I do not wear cologne. I have not done anything different from when they were not constantly around me. I am not sure why they are around me, but as you can see, it has become a problem.<BR>
Does anyone have any ideas?

I have the same problem and I am at a loss what to do. I feel uncomfortable because when I go to someone’s home, people begin swatting and I know I brought the gnats in.  I would love a doctor to coment on this.  This problem is making my life difficult.  I also do not have diabetes, rarely wear perfume, wear clean clothes, wash my hair regularly and wear the same deodorant I’ve been wearing for year. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow…they follow me too! it’s so embarrassing! i work on the 43rd floor and theyre still around me at work! i know it’s me!!! i too have no idea what it could be. i’m clean and dont wear perfume, etc etc etc… i feel like pig pen. I too hope a doc could respond to this.

I’m 46 and knats have been following me all my life, from my childhood drinking NY city water to my horseHorse chestnut farm on well water in Virginia.  I tried taking daily b-complex vitamin shots for months with no deterrence to the gnats whatsoever. I have no blood sugar problems, low blood pressure and a very low heart rate which I understand is common to rh negative blood types, which I think is what the gnats are attracted to, just my hunch, as I could be standing with 10 people and all the gnats are above my head.  I use lots of Deet, so if it’s poisonous, I should be dead, but am one of the healthiest people I know.  It’s easier to blend in on a farm, but I can see why you’re self conscious bringing gnats into a high-rise office daily!  I’ll check back periodically in the event I discover an answer, as I research this often. What is your blood type? I’m O negative.

Help!! My sister has the same thing and had it for over a year now. This morning I was brushing my sons hair and I found an adult flying out of it. There is NO chance that it was just passing by I brushed it out. No one will believe my sister and she has cut her hair VERY short. Tried mayonaise, bleach, hair color, vasoline, vinegar, almost everything she can think of. I am so pleased to see that she is not the only one who has this she feels as if she is. She now has big bald spots on her head. We have been searching for help. She has been turned away from emergency rooms, hair stylists, specialists, dermatalogists, she cant take another dr telling her to go home she is crazy. She is on the verge of a breakdown. I am so glad you are talking about this. If anyone has any ideas we can investigate please contact me at ***@**** with the title bug help. I need some answers for my sweet sister, and how to prevent them from coming to the rest of my family.

Wow, I have been dealing with this for almost 2 years now.  Somehow I have tiny, tiny flies that are around me and actually seem to come from my scalp.  I have chronic fatigue, skin itching, deep pain in legs and abdomen.  There is a vague hum. When I put my head underwater in the tub there is a disturbing noise. I have not had any fibers but my other symptoms match with Morgellans disease the fiber producing disease. I have been able to see a lot of very tiny fly residue by the ceiling light fixture.  I can clean it out and more reappears.  This living in an air-conditioned house with windows closed.  The other rooms don’t get this, just the one I sleep in.  The medical community has not diagnosed this problem. My theory is it is a zoonetic (disease that animals get and has occurred in humans) problem and is a smaller verion of the grub fly that cows get.  Second theory is that it is from the biological control agents used in greenhouses that has lead to this problem. "Biological Controls" are organisms developed and sold to manage certain types of pests. The "white fly parasite" theoretically could be transferred to humans.   Anyway this problem *****.  It’s impossible to talk about because of the crazy factor.  I refer to my chronic fatigue and I have had some relief (because I have had joint pain) from neurontin and an antidepressant, vitamin D, Calcium and B12) None the less the flies continue and they are coming from me!    I will check back often.

Now, I could go on and on with posts from that thread above, you really ought to read some of them. My heart goes out to these folks. And every time I hear someone say “I don’t have fibers” I say, oh ya, you just aren’t looking, without a scope, I never would have seen mine, but they were all under my skin, red and blue, it simply amazed me when I looked. I know early on at the onset of this gnats were hatching out of my body, there is no doubt about it.

I will say what I posted on my very first post …

It would seem the skin and body of the Morgellons sufferer has become like a rotting log, or the very least as favorable a home to both soil bacteria and soil based pests that they are both perfectly at home living in us.

All over the country, especially in the United States, folks are being mistaken for natural bug habitat of all sorts. What is happening to us and other people is immense in it’s magnitude, and probably less than 1/1000th of the people effected are aware of what is going  on. Notice many of these folks have many of the very painful symptoms we do. Spend some time reading through the posts HERE.

Also, an entire thread titled “Sensation like skin crawling” with 96 replies !! Here’s one of the comments from that thread

We have no lesions so it can’t be Morgellons Disease

To bad there is so much misinformation out there, you don’t have to have lesions to have Morgellons, tons of folks have Morgellons and no lesions (like me for instance). Probably more with Morgellons don’t have lesions than do. How are we ever going to get the truth out there? I think it’s time I write a new definition of what Morgellons disease is. I’m tired of the California/Texas/Florida nonsense, it’s every where, and lesions, hardly a key indicator, sorry folks.

  4. sistertocommonsense, The link didn’t work for me, it just goes to Yahoo email page. Or was that supposed to just be a private deal?

I need to email them to mrc personally and have him post them. I am somewhat computer dense when it comes to sending photos. Give me a day or two and I’ll email them.

  6. Hi all,

I didn’t know where to post this, so just will throw it out there…I was wondering if anyone knew about the possible side effects of the barium sulfate contrast used in CT scans on Morgellons patients. I am scheduled for this contrast scan, but considering I am already in a toxic state, am wondering if there is a better method for discovering what is blocking my upper intestinal track? Normally, I wouldn’t be nervous about drinking this stuff, but everything is a whole different ball game if you have this disease.
    thanks for any comments,

  8. Yes. I have had the little white flying dust things around me. My mother says the same. She is unable to understand that they are coming from her. What do we do? I’m trying everything that is “safe and YES forget about FL, TX and CA. We live in the North East…

  9. OMG, me too!! i hate it, im going crazy cleaning.i see the bugs, i catch them in scotch tape, gave two of them to my doc, he had the health department look at them, one was a kind of spider ( tiny, hitch a ride on tiny yellow leaves/seeds from tree next door) and one was a kind of wasp. this surprised me, these things are super tiny ad very hard to catch, sometimes i can kill one against the window, then take scotch taoe.but they are gnat looking, very tiny, brown flying usually around windows.they also land of my car in the garage, ( i keep my car immaculate.i see every spot the second it hits) they fly around my face, land on my arms.i hate them!!!

  10. I have just discovered all this since Monday (4 days ago) and last night I saw my first gnat. But I feel them in my hair but never see anything on the comb. I am in intense pain, brain fog so bad I can’t even read or watch TV and on the verge of ending my life. I’m not looking for sympathy or even for someone to talk me out of it. I’m just adding myself to the stats. I am a 57 year old woman with an otherwise great life and who has suffered increasingly over the last 20 years. Now with this new effect of gnats hatching out of my head, I simply cannot endure. I’ve always had an aversion to creepy crawly things at the best of times, how can I handle something inside of me that will never go away, just having to stick around and be their host. That isn’t living life. I am done. Planning my suicide for next week. Getting my house in order first. God bless all of you who are sticking around for the fight. I can’t even imagine.

I believe the main cause of ‘Morgellons’ disease is stress. Granted previous body conditions or underlying illnesses contribute, but when you couple that with stress, bad eating, depression. That causes the immune system to truly shut down and allow anything to attack us. The best thing is to try to manage stress and take high dose B-12 to help with energy and brain fog. I am a classic Type A personality, high stress, etc. and it almost killed me. Watch the stress, sleep full and long, eat well, and exercise. Don’t let anything or anyone steal your joy.

Also, many sufferers have been able to find relief by using Huma Health’s–Humaworm product. The barefoot herbalist on curezone–MH is also a good resource.
